I was just wondering if any of you guys have read this book, or seen the movie even. I'm like half way through the book right now, I should be done with it soon.

i got the first book 4 chrissy, then the other 2 4 my birthday..
im nearly done with the last 1, i think they'r really good..
and kino.. i think they'r slightly mor childlike in a way, not immature or a anything tho..
its hard to explain.

well, iv never read eragon actually,
but i think the storyline wasn't as grown up,, not really for a younger audience or anything..
umm, i give up..
letts try and explain the book..
book 1. northern lights
well, its about lyra, she's a bit of a tomboy, a bit cheeky, she grew up at jordan college, as far as she knows her parents died in a plane crash and her only relative is lord asriel - explorer guy.
one day, she decides to explore the retiring room, she not allowed, women are forbidden in there, anyway, while shes exploring, the master of jordan college walks in, he gets out some wine and poisons it, then invites lord asriel, to have the poisoned 1, the master leaves and lyra saves her uncle. she ends up sitting in the cupboard for a while, and watches her uncle the master and some other guys have a meeting, they talk about lord
asriels expedition, and about 'dust', which ends up being the basis of the books.
soon after she meets a woman called mrs coulter and around the same time her friend roger is kidnapped by the 'gobblers'.
alright, i give up here.. its really hard!

The books are amazing! I recommend reading them over watching the movie. The movie, in my opinion, was severely lacking. They left everything out and changed so much stuff around it hardly resembled the book at all.

Most movies that are made from books suck. They leave out so much detail like in the Harry Potter movies.

Well now I've read Eragon, this series overall is really actually a bit more "serious" than Eragon.
I really loved Eragon though.
And the movie is dismal, really, really dismal.
